- By July 2021, contemporary reports described the stadium as already being heated through the neighboring Brabant Water abstraction.
- Part of the pumped groundwater passes through a heat exchanger connected to the stadium’s heat pumps.
- Heat is transferred to pool water and interior spaces; the groundwater then continues to Brabant Water’s production plant for purification into drinking water.
- The sources report an annual gas saving of about 450,000 cubic metres, equal to 80% of the stadium’s previous total need.
- They state that 3,400 solar panels supply electricity to the heat pumps.
Evidence limits
The savings figures are reported project estimates, not measurements independently reproduced here. A separate 2021 projection for new construction was prospective and is not presented as completed. The sources establish operation in July 2021; they do not establish current 2026 performance.
